TOURNAMENT RULES

The Double Play Softball – USSSA Hispanic State Tournament @ Austin Krieg will be governed by the 2008 USSSA Rule Book with the following exceptions:

Participation Eligibility:

Teams participating in the Hispanic Program will be allowed to have 5 players that are not of Hispanic origin on their roster. Only 3 of those 5 players will be allowed to participate in the game at the same time on offense or defense.
Players that are married to a Hispanic are considered to be Hispanic. This player(s) will NOT be considered one of the 5 non-Hispanic players.

USSSA and USSSA Hispanic Program are two separate entities therefore,

If a player is on a USSSA roster, that player can ALSO be on a separate roster for the Hispanic Program. This advantage can also apply to a team. A manager can have a team registered for USSSA and or USSSA Hispanic Program. Since they are two separate programs the point system will also be two separate point systems.

Teams will be required to participate in 1 USSSA HISPANIC Sanctioned Events to qualify for the Hispanic State Tournament.

If a TEAM is caught playing out of their correct classification in the USSSA Hispanic Program (DETERMINED BY NUMBER OF "C" CLASS OR HIGHER PLAYERS ) and the divisions are NOT COMBINED , that TEAM will be EJECTED from  the tournament. The final determining factor will be the history of the player(s) on the USSSA website and/or the experience and knowledge of the tournament directors.   This is why it is very important to have ALL ROSTERS ONLINE.

ALL ROSTERS MUST BE ONLINE AT USSSA.COM PRIOR TO THE EVENT!!!

Teams with 3 or more “C” class or higher players must play as a Competitive team.

*If brackets are combined and a team enters the tournament in the wrong division, upon discovery the TD will reclassify the team for the remainder of the tournament.*
